Yuhai Anshu (Gulangyu Sunlight Rock Store)The name of the hotel was originally the private residence of Mr. Zeng Shangyuan, a patriotic overseas Chinese businessman in the Burmese rice industry at the beginning of the last century. He went to Singapore to make a living in 1909 and later set up a rice factory in Burma, becoming a giant of Burmese overseas Chinese businessmen. In 1919, he returned home with a huge sum of money and settled at 38 Anhai Road, Gulangyu Island, building several Western style villas. The building facade was named 'Diamond Tower' because of its diamond cut surface. Walking into the hotel, visitors can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and the busy feeling of the past can be easily released. There are quiet garden courtyards and preserved historical buildings here, which take guests with the present time to a more distant place, and time gradually slows down here. The bedroom is designed as a semi open rest space, with friends. We have a great time chatting here, sharing our own lives, experiencing Western style villas, and enjoying a leisurely vacation.
